Research interests and skills
Andreas Eklund earned this PhD degree 2016, and the title of his thesis was “Recurrent and persistent low back pain – course and prevention”. He currently works as a Post-Doctoral fellow at Karolinska Institutet along his clinical duties at a primary care rehabilitation unit. His research has mainly focused on psychological factors in Chiropractic populations, Maintenance Care and has a particular interest in clinical outcome research applicable to the practicing chiropractor.
Andreas is the co-founder of Hälsan Östertälje, a multidisciplinary primary care rehabilitation unit, working as an integrated team of health professionals, Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and Dietitians. At the moment he also serves as the chair of the scientific committee of the Swedish Chiropractic Association. In 2016 he was awarded Chiropractor of the Year by the Swedish the Chiropractic Association and won the EAC Jean Robert research award (1st prize).
